See if you can think of just one famous person in history (good or bad) whose name was despised enough to be adopted as a cuss word: Napoleon, Shakespeare, Hitler, Mother Teresa, or perhaps Gandhi? There's only one Person whose Name is used to express disgust. He is the One who said to love your enemies, to show kindness to those who despitefully use you, and to treat others as you would have them treat you. Why then is He despised? It's because He's also the One who maintained that God requires moral accountability. He warned, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil" (John 7:7).

He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Isaiah 53:3

You are so right.  The name of the Holy Lamb of God used as a swear word even though he loved us enough to come to earth and be tortured and die for our sins.  I hate to hear  my Lord's name spoken that way.  My mother-in-law says it multiple times each visit and it makes me cringe every time, and yet she continues to do so, even in church!  I would rather hear the f word than the precious name of Jesus treated that way.   When do you ever hear Mohammad's or Buddha's name spoken like that?   Can you imagine how outraged Muslims would be if you went around using their profit's name as a curse word.  The world is sinking under the darkness of Satan and what my soul cries is "Come Lord Jesus"
